How The Lord is providing!
We have had a tremendous several weeks since my last post! We have networked with mission organizations, been encouraged by friends and family, seen God supply our needs in a variety of ways and have seen Him raise up advocates of the mission that lies before us! We have had the privilege of meeting God's people all across the Carolinas, Georgia, and Florida! Your prayers are sustaining us...keep it up!
As we toured the Naval Aviation Museum in Pensacola, FL we realized again the awesome blessing that God has given all of us as Americans! He has blessed us with freedom, wealth, rapport and world power! The stats recur to me...the poorest of our homeless population are among the wealthiest 50% of the world population! One of the poorest nations in the world remains on our hearts as we press on. Malawi, Africa has a Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of about $900 per capita. That is up from my research a couple years ago due to aid from other nations...about 45% of that is wrapped up in trade debt to other nations. Compare that to the US's GDP of $47,400 per capita. We are truly one of the wealthiest, most technologically advanced civilizations in the world!
We have had the privilege of worshiping with our brothers and sisters in Christ across this great nation. As I reflect on the last four months (October through January) I see that God has provided in even greater ways than I realized!
